What’s it all about?
The Collaborative Comic Project is exactly what it says it is, a comic written by a collaborative group of artists, designers and creatives.
Starting with a simple first episode, contributors are invited to create the next part of the story. They’re free to take the plot and characters in whatever direction they like and in whatever graphical style they choose.
To help guide the creative process, there’s a few simple rules:
- Creators can produce only a single episode at a time before it’s passed to the next artist
- The smallest submission is a newspaper style strip
- The largest submission is a single, standard comic book size page (6″x9″)
- Artists will be given a 2 week deadline in which to create their submission
- The story can be taken in any direction
- Characters can be developed in any way
- Any graphical style can be used and any storytelling method can be employed
- Character likenesses can be altered at will
- Content deemed as offensive will not be included
- Submissions must be print resolution (full print size at 300dpi)
There’s a fair amount of freedom within the rules and the project aims to promote creativity and diversity.
